LaForest departs Automotive News for new opportunity

Audrey LaForest

Audrey LaForest, the Washington, D.C., reporter at Automotive News, where she covers automotive policy and regulation, is leaving for a new opportunity.

Prior to this role, she was a reporter at Plastics News, a weekly trade newspaper also owned by Crain Communications, where she tackled the automotive and machinery beats.

Previously, she was the associate editor for two B2B publications at BNP Media, where she covered the business sides of the flexible packaging and HVAC/sheet metal industries.

LaForest if a graduate of Wayne State University.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
