Hope King
Axios business reporter Hope King has left the news organization to start “Macro Talk,” which will be based on YouTube and LinkedIn.
She will still host events for Axios as a contributor.
King will focus on content for workers worried about their jobs and industries. “Macro Talk” will launch later this year.
At Axios, Kind wrote about capital markets, leadership, and emerging industries: Space, energy, mobility, and digital marketplaces and jobs are exploding. In 2020, she started a newsletter called “Unemployed Together.”
King left business news streaming service Cheddar in May 2020 after being there for four years. She joined in October 2016 from CNN, where she was a tech reporter, to help launch its closing bell show.
She also worked at Business Insider. Before journalism, King worked at Merrill Lynch, where she was vice president of business development and product management.
