Killingsworth named America news director at Bloomberg

We’re delighted to announce that Silvia Killingsworth becomes News Director for the Americas. Silvia has been executive editor of the editing hub for the past three years and assumed responsibility for our flagship daily feature, the Big Take, in 2022. She was also previously managing editor of the news desk, and an editor for Businessweek. Prior to joining Bloomberg in 2018, Silvia held a range of roles including Managing Editor of the New Yorker and overseeing digital site The Awl. In short, Silvia brings a wealth of experience, exceptional news judgment, cross-platform expertise and a passion for the this-just-in.
We will be posting shortly for an executive editor overseeing the hub and Brian Bremner will continue to oversee the Big Take.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
