KC Star’s historic new ME, San Fran bureau chief for NY Times, two key Wall Street Journal moves

Andale Gross (pictured) has made history as the first Black managing editor at the Kansas City Star. At the New York Times, Heather Knight takes over as San Francisco bureau chief in September, and the Wall Street Journal has announced new roles for Marie Beaudette (finance coverage chief) and Larry Rout (obits editor).
