Kansas City Business Journal reporter Grace Mayer is leaving the business newspaper.
Mayer covers Kansas City-area technology, health care and architecture and engineering. Before joining the Business Journal in October 2023, she covered tech and retail at Business Insider and labor at The Chronicle of Higher Education, where she won the publication’s David W. Miller Award for Young Journalists for her coverage on strikes and unions in academia.
Mayer started her career covering neighborhoods in Massachusetts.
She studied business and journalism at Boston College.
