Kanas City Business Journals reporter Thomas Friestad is leaving the publication next week for another reporting job in the area.
He has been covering commercial real estate and development on the Kansas City metro area’s Missouri side since joining the American City Business Journals publication in February 2020.
Originally from Fairfax, Virginia, he joined KCBJ in 2020 after working for publications in the Philadelphia suburbs and eastern Iowa.
He earned his degree in print and digital news from the University of Missouri. His coverage of development incentives along Kansas City’s streetcar line in 2022 won recognition from the Kansas Press Association
