Kaminska departs Politico to launch The Blind Spot

Senior finance editor Izabella Kaminska has left Politico to focus on The Blind Spot, which is cartography journalism.

Prior to working at Politico, Kaminska was editor of the Financial Times’ Alphaville.

Before the FT, Kaminska was an associate producer for CNBC’s “Squawk Box” for three years and an associate editor at Platt’s covering the natural gas market for one year. She also worked at Reuters as a graduate trainee.

Kaminska holds a master’s degree from London College of Printing and a bachelor’s degree from University College London.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
