Kaiser Health News taps Rayasam as a senior correspondent

Kaiser Health News has appointed Renuka Rayasam as a senior correspondent in the Southern bureau.

She recently has been working as a national correspondent at Politico.

She has also worked freelance for The New Yorker, BBC, Quartz, The Atlantic, Reuters, The Wall Street Journal and other international publications. Rayasam also served as an associate editor at Kiplinger Washington Editors.

She was also a policy reporter at Fortune Small Business magazine and was a business reporter at both the U.S. News & World Report and the Austin American-Statesman.

Rayasam holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley and a master’s degree from Columbia University.
