Ashby Jones has been named deputy economics editor at The Wall Street Journal.
Jones has worked as deputy coverage chief for U.S. news for The Journal since 2019.
From 2016 to 2019, Jones ran the Journal’s legal coverage and worked on a team of reporters and editors awarded the 2019 Pulitzer Prize for national reporting. Earlier in his career, he was the lead writer for the Journal’s Law Blog, for which he wrote more than 4,000 posts.
He is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School and Haverford College.
