Bloomberg News journalist David Joachim is leaving the news organization to become a professor of the practice at Penn State University.
He has been teaching as an adjunct at George Washington University and at Fordham.
Joachim has been a senior editor on the Americas desk at Bloomberg. He is a member of the Top team, which runs Top News on the Bloomberg terminal and the home page on Bloomberg’s digital platforms.
Joachim previously was senior editor on the investigations team at Bloomberg dating back to March 2016, when he joined the news organization.
He spent more than 10 years at The New York Times as an assistant business editor and as an assistant Washington editor. He also worked at Network Computing magazine.
