Insider hires Streaks as senior investing reporter

Jennifer Streaks

Insider has hired Jennifer Streaks to be a senior investing reporter.

She has been at TheStreet.com as a correspondent and columnist. covering money and business news for consumers and investors.

Streaks previously was a contributor to Forbes.com, where she wrote about personal finance, business, tech and money matters related to the economy, investing, credit, retail, lifestyle and entrepreneurship.

Streaks has also been a personal finance contributor to CNBC. She spent two years covering personal finance for Black Enterprise magazine and also was a financial contributor at WUSA9 for the show “Mind Over Money.”

Streaks has also written for US News and World Report.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
