Catherine Neilan has joined Insider as senior UK political editor.
She was previously politics live editor at The Telegraph.
Before that, she was with City A.M. for over 5 years, where she worked as a social media editor, breaking news and communities editor, and then as a political editor. She has also worked various jobs in London, including as a news editor for Drapers, as deputy news editor for Broadcast, and as a reporter and senior reporter for The Bookseller Magazine.
She was also a reporter and news editor at the Financial Times and a production assistant at Guardian News and Media.
Neilan has a B.A. from the University of Bristol and a M.A. in international journalism from City University of London.
