Inside Climate News has hired Erin Schulte as senior editor for networks and partnerships.
In her new role, she will be developing climate and environmental reporting networks in Southeast, Midwest, Mountain West, West Coast and other regions.
She will also be directing coverage and articles editing. Schulte joins from Fast Company, where she has been working as a freelancer. Her work has also appeared in The New York Times, Wired, Kaiser Health News, The Washington Post and more.
She also served as executive editor of Huge, a digital agency in Brooklyn.
Schulte began her career at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, where she held the posts of general assignment and city government reporter/Sunday columnist. Since then, she has worked at WSJ.com covering equities market and the tech boom and as a senior editor at both Hearst Digital and Fast Company.
Schulte graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
