Industry Dive lays off six editorial staffers

Industry Dive, which publishes more than two dozen industry-focused newsletters, has laid off six editorial staffers:

They are:

Megan Poinski, senior Food Dive reporter who has been with the company since 2016;
Stephen Taylor, who was managing editor for Healthcare Dive, Medtech Dive, and Biopharma Dive;
Shannon Muchmore, former editor of Healthcare Dive and a senior editor at the company;
Chris Newman, editor of BioPharma Dive;
Peter S. Green, lead editor for MedTech Dive in the past year; and
Stephen Singer, an editor for Utility Dive and a former Hartford Courant business reporter. He also spent 17 years at the Associated Press.

“They’re all strong business journalists with different skills and areas of expertise who made important contributions here at Industry Dive,” said editor in chief Davide Savenije on LinkedIn.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
