IndieWire has tapped Brian Welk to serve as a senior business reporter.
In his role, Welk will continue to expand IndieWire’s business coverage of film, streaming, and TV, and will also increase its breaking news coverage across the entertainment industry.
Recently, Welk was at The Wrap for six years, where he recently served as a senior film reporter. There, he also worked as a film reporter, editorial associate and web production assistant.
He also wrote and edited for CIO Talk Radio.
Welk has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Indiana University-Bloomington and a master’s degree in specialized journalism from the University of Southern California.
