Inc. promotes three editorial staffers

Inc. magazine announced Friday the promotion of three editorial staffers.

Zoe Yu Gilligan has been promoted to senior social producer. In addition to helping drive audience through our social channels, Gilligan will take a leading role in building Inc.’s off-platform strategy, specifically focusing on Instagram and social video.

Late last year, she shot and edited a video with Kim Kardashian that became Inc.’s most-watched social video ever.

Joel Froude has been promoted to director of publishing. Froude has been at Inc. for over 16 years and has worn many hats along the way.

In his new role, he will focus on the newsroom’s internal and collaborative workflows, and assist with special content builds. Froude will also develop trainings and work across multiple teams to ensure that Inc. readers have a great experience wherever they find its content.

Nicholas Hawkins has been promoted to assistant editorial operations manager.

Hawkins will help support special content builds, QC the digital versions of our print stories and help the editorial leadership team manage Inc.’s budget. In addition to editing columnists and handling digital production, Hawkins has written several successful pieces for Inc., including this story about an innovative fire-fighting tool.
