Inc. hires Gomez as executive managing editor

Jada Gomez

Jada Gomez has has been hired by Inc. as executive managing editor.

At Inc., she will manage processes across the brand and collaborate across departments such as accounting, human resources, data, and print production, among others.

Gomez brings a strong background in both digital and print newsroom management. She most recently worked as executive editor at Popsugar, where she managed several editorial teams with a focus on audience growth.

Prior to that, she was a senior platform editor at Level, a Medium publication, and executive editor at Bustle. In addition to her digital background, Jada has print experience, having begun her career at Time Inc., as the assistant to the managing editor at Fortune Small Business, followed by reporting for Time and People.

She is a graduate of New York University.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
