The Illinois Answers Project has hired Binghui Huang to cover economic equity in Chicago.
She previously covered health care for the Indianapolis Star, where she was also a business and labor reporter. She published a project with the investigative team on OSHA’s troubling deference to businesses on workplace deaths and complaints and its impact on RV and meatpacking industries.
Huang previously worked at the Morning Call in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
She is a graduate of Northwestern University.
