Tatum Hunter, who has been covering the internet for The Washington Post, was among the layoffs on Wednesday.
She previously spent four years covering consumer technology for the paper. She is starting a Substack newsletter focused on the internet.
Before that, Hunter was a tech reporter and associate editor for Built In. She also interned at the Cincinnati Business Courier and a stringer for The New York Times.
Hunter holds a bachelor’s degree from Xavier University.
