The Houston Business Journal has named Florian Martin its growth team editor.
The goal is to produce more high-quality articles related to real estate and economic growth in Greater Houston.
Martin has been covering commercial real estate for the publication for the past four years. He previously was a business reporter at Houston’s National Public Radio station KUHF and also covers criminal justice, guns and shootings.
After earning his M.A. in journalism, American studies and Hispanic studies at the University of Leipzig, Martin started off his new life interning in the KUHF newsroom.
After a 16-month stint as a reporter for Houston Community Newspapers, he was invited back to Houston Public Media in 2012 to take over the NewsLab Coordinator position and quickly morphed into a daily reporter.
