Hooper takes on Pulse newsletter at Politico

Kelly Hooper

Politico health care reporter Kelly Hooper is now co-author of its Pulse newsletter.

Hooper covers health insurance. Before that, she had been a breaking news reporter. She also served as a senior digital producer, and before that, as a digital producer.

In addition, she was an intern at WeddingWire in Washington, D.C., Star News Group and Anchor Media LLC. She has also written and edited for The GW Hatchet, the independent paper of George Washington University.

Hooper has a B.A. in journalism and mass communication from The George Washington University.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
