Historic Virginia paper’s new ed, NY Times’ design leader, meet WaPo’s Afghanistan chief

Founded four years after the Civil War ended, the Chatham (Virginia) Star-Tribune now has a new editor in Bobby Allen Roach (pictured). Rick Noack has moved up to the Washington Post’s Afghanistan bureau chief, and Rachel Buigas-Lopez is joining The NY Times’ news and features Design teams as a staff editor.
