The Logic reporter Murad Hemmadi is switching beats and will now cover artificial intelligence and linked technologies.
He has been based in Ottawa for the publication but will be moving to Toronto later this year.
Hemmadi is going to write about the companies building businesses in these spaces, the investors funding them, the policies promoting and regulating them, and the impacts they have on people and economies.
Before joining The Logic in 2018, Hemmadi was at MacLean’s, a Canadian magazine, for the past 18 months, as an assistant editor and associate editor. Before MacLean’s, he was with Rogers Communications as a senior editor.
He is a graduate of the University of Toronto.
