Seattle Times general assignment business reporter Alex Halverson is moving to the Big Tech beat.
He replaces Lauren Rosenblatt, who has moved to the Boeing and aerospace beat.
“He’s shown himself to be an excellent collaborator, a support to his colleagues, and a reporter able to gracefully align his ambitions with the organization’s needs,” wrote business team leader Levi Pulkkinen in a note to the staff.
Halverson joined the Times last year. Halverson had been a reporter for the Puget Sound Business Journal covering Amazon.com and Microsoft for the previous three years.
He previously worked at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer as a producer. Halverson is a graduate of Western Washington University.
