The following announcement was sent out at Politico on Thursday:
Good morning, everyone —
We are delighted to announce that Victoria Guida is taking on a new assignment as POLITICO’s economics and finance columnist. She will apply her deep expertise and incisive analytical mind to these subjects as a signature voice for POLITICO’s global audience.
Victoria has long been one of POLITICO’s most trusted narrators for the American economy, monetary policy and financial regulation — and the people and institutions that define them. In her column, called CAPITAL LETTER, she will engage those subjects and more with a distinct perspective anchored in original reporting.
The launch of Victoria’s column represents an important moment in POLITICO’s expansion. It will be the second new column this year focused on policy, along with Nahal Toosi’s COMPASS; both columns represent an emphatic assertion of this newsroom’s authority in covering the most important global issues of our time.
