Matt Turner is now global head of news at Green Street, a real estate news service focused on commercial real estate, commercial mortgages, asset-backed securities, and infrastructure.
He previously was deputy editor in chief at Business Insider before leaving at the end of 2024. Since then, he has been chief content officer at upNEXT.
Turner started at Insider in July 2015 as finance editor, before helping build its markets, investing, healthcare, and advertising teams. He was a part of the launch team for Markets Insider, a markets news and data site, and Insider’s subscription offering, which now spans the newsroom.
He was previously the U.S. editor at Dow Jones-owned title Financial News. He also led the investment-banking team at Financial News in London.
