Johanna Cano, a reporter for the Greater Wilmington Business Journal, is leaving the North Carolina paper.
She has accepted a communications job with Buncombe County in the western part of the state.
Cano has been at the paper since 2018. Cano wrote general business coverage, social media updates and data research as well as writing feature pieces for its sister publication WILMA magazine.
Cano is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill. In college, she worked for The Daily Tar Heel and at the News & Observer’s College Town NC online publication
