Greater Wilmington Biz Journal hires Dill as a reporter

The Greater Wilmington Business Journal has hired Emma Dill as its newest reporter.

A story on its website states, “Dill previously worked as a reporter for the Wilmington StarNews for more than two years. There, she covered local government and development across Wilmington and New Hanover County for the daily newspaper.

“She received several awards from the N.C. Press Association during her time at the StarNews. Most recently, she was part of the StarNews team that won first place in investigative reporting for coverage of persistent segregation in New Hanover County Schools.

“Dill grew up in Wisconsin along the shores of Lake Michigan. She attended the University of Minnesota where she majored in journalism and political science. She’s interned at various publications, including the Chronicle of Higher Education in Washington, D.C., the Naples Daily News in Florida and the Star Tribune in Minneapolis.”
