
Bryan Gottlieb has been hired as online news editor for the Engineering News-Record.
His career began at Adweek in New York, covering digital advertising. Moving to Los Angeles, he transitioned to community journalism and managed a small newsroom in Santa Monica.
Gottlieb also worked as a staff writer for the San Diego Daily Transcript, covering banking, finance, law, and real estate. After a period in residential construction, he returned to journalism in 2010, founding an alternative publication for a Detroit-based publisher and later serving as editor-in-chief at the Detroit Metro Times.
After working in corporate communications, Gottlieb became the managing editor of Roofing Contractor, a trade journal.
Gottlieb holds an undergraduate degree from Boston University and a master’s degree from UCLA.
