Scott Kirsner
Boston Globe tech columnist Scott Kirsner is ending his column after 25 years.
Kirsner created the “Innovation Economy” column, which appeared in print and online. It focused on startups, venture capital, entrepreneurship, and fast-growing companies around New England.
From 2000 to 2005, his column was called “@large,” and from 2005 to 2008 it was called “Entertainment 2.0.”
He occasionally contributed to the Globe’s Sunday Magazine, the annual Tech Power Players list, and hosted and produced videos, podcasts, panel discussions, and live webcasts. He helped launch Boston.com and has been a contributor to Wired and Fast Company.
In his last column, he wrote, “I worry that our innovation economy, starved of fuel and oxygen for four years, is going to be like a car that will coast for a while before settling to a stop.”
