Previously, Lou covered the energy sector and related policy matters in Alberta for Reuters.
He wrote columns for the Financial Post and The Globe and Mail. His work appeared in the Guardian, the Toronto Star, the Walrus and the Washington Post.
He interned at The Canadian Press, the Telegraph-Journal and Singapore Press Holdings. He authored “Once a Bitcoin Miner: Scandal and Turmoil in the Cryptocurrency Wild West,” which was named among the CBC’s best Canadian nonfiction of 2021.
Lou has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ryerson University.
