Gizmodo hires Montgomery as deputy editor

Blake Montgomery

Blake Montgomery will be joining Gizmodo as a deputy editor editing tech news and managing a team of reporters.

Currently, he is a breaking news editor/reporter at The Daily Beast. Before that, he served as a Silicon Valley reporter. He has also worked freelance and was a technology reporter and then breaking news reporter at BuzzFeed.

He has also edited and reported for EdSurge in San Francisco.

Montgomery has a B.A. from Stanford University.
