Ryan Gilchrest, the managing editor of the Greenville Business Journal and Upstate Business Journal in South Carolina, has been named editorial director of their parent company.
Community Journals Media Group also publishes lifestyle magazines TOWN and atHome. He succeeds Sherry Jackson, who was promoted to chief operating officer.
Before joining the business journals in 2023, he was managing editor for Greenville and Spartanburg for the Post and Courier.
He has also been managing editor of The Virginian-Pilot and The Daily Press in Virginia, and he worked for the Macon Telegraph in Georgia.
