Consumer Reports senior technology reporter Thomas Germain has left the news organization and will join Gizmodo on Monday.
Germain will cover privacy, advertising technology and algorithms.
He had been at Consumer Reports since June 2018 and had been covering privacy, digital rights and life on the internet. He interned at Consumer Reports while in college.
Germain is a graduate of Columbia University in American studies. While there, he was editor in chief of The Federalist, a satirical newspaper.
