Mark Gendle has been named market president and publisher of the Triad Business Journal.
Editor in chief Lloyd Whittington writes, “He succeeds Abby Mellott, who was recently named to the same position in Austin, Texas.
“Gendle joined ACBJ in 2010 as a sales development manager in Charlotte focused initially on supporting American City Business Journals’ national sales team. He later transitioned to include working with local markets. He was promoted in 2020 to sales development director, where he worked with many of ACBJ’s most sophisticated advertising clients and helped roll out new revenue initiatives across the company.
“‘Mark’s determined approach to enabling those around him to achieve success makes him stand out as a leader and why he’s the right person to lead a strong Triad team to new heights,’ said Mike Olivieri, president, Local Markets, ACBJ.”
