Reuters has hired Eduardo Garcia to cover renewable energy, based in New York.
Garcia was a renewable energy/electric vehicles writer at Treehugger. He was also a writer-editor at Inside.com Inc.
He worked freelance for The New York Times and interned at the Scientific American. Previously, he worked at Reuters from January 2006 to June 2013 as a reporter in South America. He was a researcher at The Economist Intelligence Unit and a researcher/writer at Business Monitor International.
Garcia has a M.A. from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
