Raphael Minder is rejoining the Financial Times as Central Europe correspondent, based in Warsaw.
He begins in June.
He will be joining from The New York Times, where he serves as a Spain and Portugal correspondent. During his 12 years at the Times, he has covered various issues, including the financial crisis’ impact on Spain and Portugal, social issues, sports and culture and more.
He has previously worked at the Financial Times as Asia regional correspondent, based in Hong Kong. There, he reported on macroeconomic and business issues across half a dozen countries.
He was also a correspondent at Bloomberg.
Minder has a B.A. from the University of Oxford and held a Knight-Bagehot fellowship in business journalism from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
