Amanda Chu
Amanda Chu has been appointed U.S. economics correspondent, based in New York, to report on major economic data releases and institutions.
She will also produce data-driven reporting on how investment patterns respond to shifts in politics, policy and global markets, as well as contribute to broader coverage of U.S. economic policy.
Chu joined the FT in 2021 and was previously U.S. energy reporter and a lead writer for the “Energy Source” newsletter.
She is a graduate of Georgetown University in international affairs and creative writing.
