FT starts Q&A series with its journalists

The Financial Times has launched Ask an Expert, a new Q&A format offering subscribers direct access to FT journalists through weekly, live sessions.

Every Thursday, FT subscribers can join an hour-long live session with journalists to ask their most pressing questions on a chosen topic – from politics and foreign affairs to tech and careers.

Subscribers can submit questions in advance or during the live event and follow the conversation as it unfolds in real time within the article. Each session remains available to read afterwards, allowing readers to revisit the discussion or catch up at their convenience.

FT head of community Lucy Warwick-Ching said: “Ask an Expert gives readers a direct line to our journalists, making our journalism more interactive and engaging. It reflects our commitment to building deeper relationships with subscribers where they spend most of their time, on ft.com and the FT app, and to showcasing the expertise of our columnists in new, accessible ways.”

The new format is part of the FT’s broader strategy to enhance subscriber engagement through interactive, personalized experiences that bring readers even closer to FT journalism.
