FT names Stafford digital finance news editor

Philip Stafford

Philip Stafford will become the Financial Times’ digital finance news editor, overseeing crypto coverage and helping run the FT Markets desk.

For more than nine years, Stafford was working on market structure as an editor, FT Trading Room. There, he led FT’s global coverage of exchanges, trading and clearing in derivatives and securities trading.

Previously, he served as U.K. markets editor and then as a technology reporter.

Stafford graduated from the University of Sheffield.
