Eric Platt
Senior corporate finance correspondent Eric Platt has been named U.S. investment editor at the Financial Times.
Platt will oversee coverage of asset management, including major firms such as BlackRock, while continuing to report on private credit and Berkshire Hathaway.
He previously was also U.S. capital markets correspondent and a founding reporter on fastFT, the FT’s breaking news team, before becoming M&A correspondent.
Previously, Platt was deputy editor, global markets forum at Thomson Reuters. Before that, he held the post of reporter at Business Insider. He has also worked as a freelance reporter and editorial intern at The New York Times.
Platt was also an analyst at Peppers & Rogers Group and served in a freelance editorial capacity at Time Inc.
