The Financial Times has promoted Eli Meixler to Asia world news editor.
Recently, Meixler was a digital publishing journalist.
Previously, he commissioned and edited companies, markets and technology stories and coordinated with reporters and news editors to plan and execute leading coverage of the biggest issues in Asia.
He wrote the Europe/Africa edition for FirstFT, the Financial Times’ daily news briefing covering global markets, political affairs, commentary and culture. He reported for Time magazine and worked freelance.
He also edited for The Myanmar Times. Meixler graduated from Wesleyan University.
