FT names Gara its US private equity and deals editor

Antoine Gara

Antoine Gara has been named U.S. private equity and deals editor at The Financial Times.

He has been covering private capital for the past four years.

Gara previously was a senior at at Forbes, where he spent over 6 years. Before that, he held the posts of staff writer and associate editor. He has also reported for TheStreet.com and Bloomberg Businessweek.

Previously, Gara was an analyst at Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers.

Gara graduated from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
