Sports business website Front Office Sports has hired Daniel Roberts to be its editor in chief.
He previously served as editor-in-chief at Variant, an early-stage venture fund known for its writing.
Prior to Variant, Roberts was editor-in-chief of crypto news site Decrypt. Before that, he spent years covering sports business at Yahoo Finance and Fortune. His writing has also appeared at Sports Illustrated, Washington Post, Time, Vice, The Paris Review, Air Mail and more.
He will report to Front Office Sports founder and CEO Adam White.
Front Office Sports has grown its audience by 50% and revenue by 85% year over year.
