Fortune magazine has promoted Sydney Lake to associate editor.
Lake has been a reporter at Fortune, where she covers housing, real estate, and general business news. She previously wrote about higher education and worked on the publication’s business school rankings.
Before joining Fortune, Lake served as the assistant editor of Virginia Business magazine and interned on the production desk at CQ Roll Call.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism and leadership studies from the University of Richmond, where she served as managing editor of the student newspaper, The Collegian.
