Fortune magazine has hired Trey Williams to be a senior writer covering work and life.
He started June 6.
He has been at the Kansas City Star, where he oversaw its coverage of race and equity issues across the Kansas City area.
Williams has worked as a business reporter in New York, covering Wall Street for MarketWatch, and in Los Angeles, covering Hollywood for The Wrap.
He is a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University.
