Fortune magazine has hired L’Oreal Thompson Payton to be a health and wellness reporter.
Payton has been senior editor, mental health and wellness, for YR Media. She is responsible for creating coverage relating to mental health, and social and emotional well-being for the Generation Z population.
Her prior professional experience includes serving as director of communications for OneGoal, director of external affairs and manager of media relations for the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana, digital content editor for JET magazine; and various editing and reporting roles with The Baltimore Sun.
Payton holds a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University in Maryland.
