Fortune hires Mikhail to cover health and wellness

Alexa Mikhail

Fortune magazine has hired Alexa Mikhail as a reporter covering health and wellness.

Most recently at CNN, she was an assistant producers on the live morning news, interviewing in the field and pivoting fast for daily programming.

Prior to CNN, Mikhail was a digital reporter with experience covering health and gender pieces, and her work was featured in the 19th and The Washington Post.

She graduated from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in March 2021.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
