Fortune has hired Melissa Hancock to write the “Fortune Gulf Brief” newsletter, which will publish weekly and cover news in the Middle East.
Hancock has been contributing to Semafor.
She has been editor of Arabian Banker and associate editor of Arabian Gulf Business Insight. She also worked at Sky News and was economics and finance editor of the Middle East Economic Survey.
Hancock holds a degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
The newsletter will be edited by Kamal Ahmed, executive editorial director at Fortune.
