Fort Worth Star-Telegram hires six journos, Politico’s new data/graphics reporter, Google lays off news director

Good news in Ft. Worth, as the Star-Telegram has taken on half a dozen young new reporters. Paroma Soni has joined Politico from FiveThirtyEight as a data and graphics journalist, and on the downside Google has laid off its director of news ecosystem development, Madhav Chinnappa.
